Labels for Outdoor Use

Labels for outdoor applications must stand up to some of the harshest environments. When creating a label for outdoor use, you need to consider the length of time the label must be used, the temperature extremes the label will face, and the UV effects the label will need to withstand.

So how do you create a label that needs to last a number of years and resist weather and UV damage? To begin, use a label stock that will adhere to difficult surfaces. Our white polyester  TT723 label features an aggressive adhesive and a smooth top coating that is right for such an environment. Match the label with our Premium Resin 4000 series ribbon, which offers good smudge and scratch resistance, and you have exceptionally long lasting labels with crisp clean images and barcodes.

We also offer an acrylate overlaminating film which adheres to the label, giving you excellent UV resistance that lasts  for up to five years of outdoor use.
