GS1 Digital Link – Simple Printing With Code Tech RAZR

After remaining static for five decades, retail barcoding is set for a significant upgrade.

GS1’s Sunrise 2027 will introduce data-rich 2D barcodes to replace traditional UPCs, benefiting brands, retailers, and consumers.

The new GS1 Digital Link format will allow a single QR code containing the product GTIN, expiration date, lot number, and serialization.

Consumers can scan these codes for real-time product info; point-of-sale systems in retail stores will also support them.

Unlike current UPC barcodes that are pre-printed on labels and packaging, these new codes will often be added during the product packaging process.

With up to 600 dpi print resolution, you can be assured that your barcodes will easily pass the ISO/ANSI verification scores and meet the requirements of the GS1 standard.
