It is nice to see a new rugged portable printer launched by our friends at Datamax-O’Neil.
Despite its name, I don’t believe Ralph Lauren was involved in the design, but Paul Lehmann was, so it should be good.
The idea behind the RL4 is that is a really rugged machine, designed to be used in the toughest warehouse and manufacturing applications, where people are not very gentle with equipment.
The RL4 is designed so that the label roll can be changed with just one hand and is compatible with most WMS systems. It comes with ZPL, CPCL, DPL and IPL emulation and is compatible with SAP,
Oracle and AS/400 protocols.
Datamax is accepting orders right now and should be shipping some time in January.
