Labeling for Flexible Packaging Applications

Flexible packaging presents some unique challenges to labeling – automated packing systems can reach print speeds of up to 24 inches per second, variable data like lot numbers are often required on the packaging, and data must be printed on a wide range of packaging substrates. Such factors influence print quality and performance.  

Thermal transfer ribbons are able to meet these labeling challenges because they offer excellent print quality and durability on a broad range of packaging substrates, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, or polyester. Long ribbon lengths are ideal for fast print speeds of up to 600 mm/sec., and their anti-static formulation is ideal for clear crisp images at fast print speeds.
