I must confess that I have not been a huge fan of the M-Class printer in the past. Not for any specific reason, it just has never seemed to be the right fit for most the applications I’ve been involved with.
Well, I think times might be changing. Sitting on my desk is the RFID version of the M-Class and my first impression is that it would make the perfect printer for someone needing to comply with MIL-STD-129 RFID rules.
Compared with its big brother the H-Class, the M is less expensive, takes up less space, is easier to thread, has all the connectivity one could wish for and is easily able to keep up with the label demands of just about any defense contractor – what’s not to love!
Now, if only Datamax would make me a 400 DPI version for UID applications, I’d be really happy.
