Our Wine Country team has just finished exhibiting at the Wine & Grape Symposium in Sacramento. This really highlighted for me just how much of what we offer at ID Technology can help wine companies with identifying and tracking their products.
At our booth we showed a range of solutions that are perfect for identifying the products as well as the shipping cases and pallets further down the line.
I thought it would be helpful to highlight some of the applications for which ID Technology has some really good solutions.
Labels

Print Your Own Labels
If your label quantities don’t lend themselves to purchasing commercial quantities of printed labels, our VP700 Memjet printer allows you to print your own high quality labels on demand.
VP700 allows you to produce the artwork (we can help if needed) and use your graphics or label software (I use BarTender) to send the files to the printer. The results are outstanding!
Label Application Equipment
ID Technology has a range of labeling systems that are perfect for applying prime labels to your wine bottles. From simple semi automatic labelers to fully integrated high speed systems – just let us know your requirements and we can come up with the perfect equipment.
Date and Lot Coding
Obviously you need to add date and lot codes to your products. At ID Technology we can help by adding the codes to either the labels or onto the bottle itself.
Our iCON laser for example is a low cost device, but can produce beautiful codes on your labels or packaging. Prefer to use continuous inkjet for your product coding? No problem, we have you covered with our Citronix ciSeries – the simplest to use and maintain CIJ printer on the market.
Case Identification
Because your cases are part of your brand image, you’ll want to ensure that the labeling or marking is top quality as well.
If you are identifying your cases with barcode labels, ID Technology can provide both the labels and the printers to ensure the quality you need. Whether you need a simple tabletop label printer or one of our automatic Label Printer Applicators, we’ll help you figure out the best solution.
As an alternative to labeling, we can also mark your cases with our High Resolution Inkjet printers and if you just need a simple date or lot code the ciSeries CIJ printer might be what you need.
